Los Angeles Printmaking Society is a national non-profit artist run organization based in Los Angeles, California and dedicated to the encouragement of printmaking, the interests of artists who make prints, and the general advancement of printmaking in public awareness and education.

LA Printmaking was founded in 1963 as part of the rich history connecting Los Angeles printmaking to the contemporary art world. For over fifty years LA Printmaking has organized exhibitions such as The National, Give & Take, The ImMigration Project, Paper Boats and our annual Spring exhibitions focused on the impacts of climate change to stimulate and inspire artists to become creative activists with their work. Each year the Foundation of the LA Printmaking Society awards scholarships to three local college students studying printmaking. These awards are a way to recognize and support the next generation. LA Printmaking regularly provides workshops and events to support the education of printmaking for age groups both young and old. From our original group of 35 celebrated artists, including June Wayne, Betye Saar, Leonard Edmondson and Emerson Woellfer, LA Printmaking has grown to be a respected international arts organization promoting fine art printmaking. The founders, Connor Everts and Paul Darrow met by chance one day in 1962 and together had the idea to organize a group for artists to gather and share information about printmaking and present challenging exhibition opportunities for artists to push printmaking forward into the world. In 2022, LA Printmaking will turn 60 years old and is continuing that mission.
