KENNEDY PRINTS:
Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.
Headlining this year’s Printers Fair is the legendary Detroit artist Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. of KENNEDY PRINTS! Self-described as “CITIZEN PRINTER,” Kennedy is a powerhouse in the world of contemporary printmaking—celebrated for his bold, colorful posters that tackle themes of race equity, and social change, blending art with activism in ways that are both joyful and provocative. His posters have been featured in major institutions like the Library of Congress, MoMA, and Poster House—but he remains fiercely grounded in community, committed to keeping print accessible and empowering. His appearance at this year’s Printers Fair offers visitors a rare opportunity to meet and learn from one of the most important voices in contemporary printmaking.
Kennedy’s work is instantly recognizable—bursting with color, typographic texture, and uncompromising messages on race, equity, power, and protest. Drawing inspiration from historical broadsides, Black oral traditions, and grassroots movements, his prints don’t just speak—they shout. For Kennedy, the press is more than a machine—it’s a tool for citizenship, for resistance, and for imagining a more just world.
Come to the 17th Annual Los Angeles Printers Fair October 11th and 12th to meet Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. in person and be inspired by his work—an opportunity to engage with one of America’s most vital voices in print.
