Established in 1989, Archetype Press is located at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, and offers classes, workshops, and artist residencies. The Press is home to eleven Vandercook proof presses and over 2,000 cases of American and European foundry type, wood type, and ornaments from the collection of Los Angeles typographer and printer Vernon Simpson and others. Included are fonts from American Type Foundry, Hamilton Wood Type, Nebiolo, Bauer, Klingspor, and Stempel.
