Letterpress Artists at Armory Center for Arts is a letterpress collective specializing in handcrafted stationery, greeting cards, gift tags, posters and notepads. Every piece is created using hand-set type, hand-carved linocuts or photopolymer plates which are then brought to life on a hand-operated press.
We believe in the beauty of the handmade: the texture of the paper, the character of hand-carved artwork, the beauty of the unique design involved in making a photo polymer plate, and the care behind every impression created. No two prints are ever the same. That’s the point.
Our work is designed in Los Angeles and hand printed in house at Armory Center for Arts in Pasadena, CA, a non profit arts organization supporting artists and community arts education since 1989.
