Inspired by early 2000s beauty culture, iconic hairstyles, fashion, magazines, and everyday moments, artist Jillian creates work that celebrates the confidence, identity, and magic of Black girlhood. A printmaker for over 10 years, she combines collage, photo lithography, collograph, and relief printing to create layered compositions that transform familiar imagery into visual stories. Drawing inspiration from Black hair magazines, found materials, and personal memories, each piece honors community, self-expression, and cultural memory.
